The double-walled glass tea thermos is an old Chinese style of tea brewing made modern with this easy to use, portable device. In this simplified form of tea brewing you can enjoy white, yellow, or green tea all day and avoid the multiple steps of straining, needing many different tools around you to enjoy tea. You will increase the amount of tea you drink each day which also increases the health benefits you receive including hydration and electrolyte balancing.
Instructions: Portion out your white, yellow, or green tea into your tea thermos. Quantity depends on the tea and your taste. The thermos holds 11.5 oz. of water. Fill the thermos with the appropriate temperature water. Traditional Chinese brewing would be to wait until the tea sinks to the bottom before drinking, but the removable filter allows for drinking with ease at any time. Leave enough water in the bottom to keep the leaf covered and refill with water as often as you’d like.

- Some teas seem more conducive for brewing in this style. Everyone’s taste is different so enjoy experimenting.
- The first steeping may be more bitter and strong depending on the tea and quantity that you use. Remember that bitter is a necessary component to balanced health and drinking this is good for you. Try less leaf or shorter steepings if it is not palatable.
- The tea thermos can be used as a brewing device for oolongs, blacks, and pu’er teas as well. They will not tolerate sitting in the water like the whites, yellows, and greens, but you can always steep the tea in your thermos and pour it off into a cup/mug/sharing pitcher.
